A Little About Me
My name is Antoinette King and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My practice is based online. I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University. I received my master’s degree in clinical social work from the University of Houston.
Over the last 15 years I have worked in the mental health field in some capacity. My first job right after college was working at a shelter for youth in CPS custody. It was during this time that I discovered my passion for working with people affected by some type of trauma and my gift of being able to bridge the gap for them between hopelessness and healing. I truly find joy in being able to connect and assist people who are experiencing a rough time in their life.
Since then, I have had the privilege of working for several psychiatric hospitals, ranging from acute to long term. I’m very excited to continue to serve as a support and ambassador for mental health awareness, education, and treatment.
In my free time I enjoy traveling, experimenting with recipes off pinterest, trying out all the wonderful restaurants in Houston and torturing myself in Orange Theory workout classes. Thanks for reading and I look forward to hearing from you.

MY STYLE
My therapeutic style is to be active, creative and engaging. It is important to me to be culturally aware and I strive to bring that cultural sensitivity in with me to my sessions. You will find that I’m easy to engage, authentic and personable.
MY WORK
I specialize in working with emerging adults (college and post grad) along with millennials. I choose to use an eclectic style of treatment which allows me to tailor my approaches to the individual client that I encounter. However, I do often use techniques from Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Motivational interviewing and Solution Focused Therapy. I have experience in working with persons who are affected by anxiety, depression, life transitions, breakups, self-esteem issues, relationship problems and much more.
